Game Of Thrones Star Lena Headey Wants To Play Catwoman In Gotham City Sirens

With Game of Thrones coming to an end soon, the cast is going to have a lot of free time on their hands, and most of them will probably start looking to increase their presence on the big screen. We've already seen many of them land sizeable roles in high profile films, but once HBO's hit series is off the air, they'll have a lot more openings in their schedules.

With Game of Thrones coming to an end soon, the cast is going to have a lot of free time on their hands, and most of them will probably start looking to increase their presence on the big screen. We’ve already seen many of them land sizeable roles in high profile films, but once HBO’s hit series is off the air, they’ll have a lot more openings in their schedules.

Lena Headey is one actress who’s certainly going to be flushed with offers once she finishes up on Game of Thrones, and while she’s already made several notable appearances in theaters, you can bet that she’ll be showing up a lot more once her television commitments come to an end. In fact, fans have been hoping for some time now that she’d join a superhero franchise, and it seems that’s not lost on the actress.

Taking to Twitter earlier today, Headey replied to someone asking why she hasn’t been cast as Catwoman yet. While her response hardly confirms anything, it at least shows some interest on her part.

Again, this really doesn’t mean very much aside from the fact that Headey would be interested in the role, but then again, so would almost any other talent in Hollywood. We recently saw Haley Bennett tease a potential link to the part on social media and we’ve also heard a few other names that could possibly be in the mix. With the character expected to show up in Gotham City Sirens, Warner Bros. is probably quite busy at the moment with their search for someone to play the classic Batman character, but so far, we haven’t heard anything official.

There’s no denying though that Headey would make a fine Catwoman. She’s a strong screen presence and has shown that she can be both intimidating and a real badass across her work on Game of Thrones and the Dredd reboot. Whether the studio is even considering her is obviously unknown, but it’s still fun to think about what she could do with the role and if the actress does somehow end up snagging it, I don’t think anyone would be disappointed.
