Ghostbusters Featurette Explores The Science Behind Ghost Catching


After the first Ghostbusters teaser dropped this morning, intrepid fans have been analysing every frame for additional clues. Mining for easter eggs is indeed a lengthy task, and yet, it didn’t take folks long to discover a hidden URL on Erin Gilbert’s whiteboard that points toward a viral site. Disguised as the Kenneth P. Higgins Institue Of Science, it only takes a few moments to realize that this is all about the Ghostbusters.

And it’s a fun portal, too. Located at, it’s packed with plenty of additional materials that warrant exploration. There’s schematics detailing the gang’s proton packs, ghost traps and the ECTO-1, and a behind-the-scenes featurette that dips into the hows and whys of ghostbusting.

Between now and the movie’s release date we can expect even more details to emerge, but until then? These morsels are a terrific start to the marketing madness. Roll on trailer number two…
