Just a few weeks remain before the live-action adaptation of Disney’s The Little Mermaid is released, and the film’s star Halle Bailey has a special announcement to help promote the movie.
Over on the official Walt Disney Studio’s Twitter account, Bailey announced that she would be performing a live rendition of the film’s iconic song, ‘Part of Your World’ at Disneyland. The performance will be aired during tonight’s broadcast of American Idol, so Disney and Little Mermaid fans are encouraged to tune in if they’re keen to hear the song live.
‘Part Of Your World’ was the first song to be ever previewed during the promotion of The Litte Mermaid, as the ending was played during the end of the first teaser. More parts of the song were later revealed when the official trailer dropped back in late March this year. But if you’re keen to hear the full version of the song without watching American Idol, the official DisneyMusicVEVO account uploaded the entire song onto YouTube, and is now available to stream on Spotify.
The Little Mermaid had its blue carpet premiere last week, and audiences praised the film. Early reviews claimed it’s the “best live-action adaptation” and that it does more than target one’s nostalgia. Asides from ‘Part of Your World’, Disney released previews for the film’s other songs, such as ‘Kiss the Girl’ and ‘Under the Sea.’
