Refusing to die down are all the rumours surrounding the recently announced Star Wars: Episode 7. Ever since the world found out that Disney had purchased Lucasfilm, and would be bringing us a new Star Wars trilogy, the internet has been in a tizzy over details surrounding the upcoming films.

The latest piece of news regarding the next chapter in George Lucas’ epic series is that Harrison Ford is “open to the idea” of returning as Han Solo. In fact, he’s “upbeat about it.” Of course, this hasn’t been confirmed but Entertainment Weekly cites a “highly placed” source as the one who informed them of the info.

Apparently, the actor still needs a script and a meeting with the director (it may be Matthew Vaughn if rumours are to be believed) before he could sign on officially. In addition to Ford potentially joining, rumor has it that Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher may also be open to reprising their iconic roles.

So there you have it, a lot of juicy Star Wars news trickling out today. Whether Ford, Hamill and Fisher end up joining, one thing is for sure, Star Wars: Episode 7 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting films currently in production and it will likely be surrounded with rumors and speculation until its 2015 release.
