Hawkeye Doesn’t Fancy His Chances In Latest Avengers: Age Of Ultron TV Spot

Given the size and scope of the promotional campaign for Joss Whedon's hotly-anticipated superhero sequel, it's a wonder there's any footage left to see of Avengers: Age of Ultron when it finally rolls around in May -- or late April, for those in the UK. How and ever, Marvel is ensuring the hype train continues unabated with the release of a new TV spot, which essentially acts as a roll call for Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Mind you, all members of the team need to be present if they truly are to topple James Spader’s titular, power-mongering AI, and there’s a wonderful and frank assessment from Hawkeye at the tail end of the sizzle reel above that perfectly encapsulates the estranged character.

Stepping away from the white noise for a second, though, and last week we brought you the news that both Julie Delpy And Linda Cardellini had signed on to play a role in Age of Ultron, leading many to believe that at least one would don the guise of Captain Marvel as the studio looks to plant the seeds for Phase Three. Alas, nothing was confirmed when the actresses joined the production, and we’ll just have to speculate about their possible roles until our questions become answers next month.

Avengers: Age of Ultron will blast into theaters on May 1 in the States. But what do you think? At this stage, is Whedon’s sequel almost too big to fail? Let us know your own thoughts down below.

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
