Following up on this morning’s spectacular teaser trailer, a smattering of screengrabs have now found their way online, and they each draw attention to Cate Blanchett’s glowering Goddess of Death, Hela. With Asgardian civilization on the brink, it’s up to Chris Hemsworth’s mighty God of Thunder to bring balance back to the Seven Realms, but once Hela crushes Mjölnir and ships him off to some dark corner of the cosmos, Thor has to fight his way home the hard way: by going up against Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk on the alien planet of Sakaar.

Indeed, that titanic gladiator brawl is teased on Ragnarok‘s first official poster, which you can find below. Thrusting Thor into the ring, it’s an evocative, dazzling one-sheet of Hemsworth’s wayward deity and his cropped haircut. A new do isn’t the only marked change for our title lead, after this morning’s trailer showed Thor grappling with two blades – a far cry from Mjölnir – and a potential ally in Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie.

Also starring Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum (The Grandmaster) and Anthony Hopkins as the great Odin, Thor: Ragnarok looks set to balance an all-star cast with some truly inspired visual effects – comparisons have already been drawn between Waititi’s threequel and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – and we’re fully confident that the film will be an exciting new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Thor: Ragnarok roars into theaters on November 3rd, and you’ll be able to locate the latest round of promos down below.
