Here’s How Henry Cavill Could Look As Adam Warlock In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

We don't know much for sure about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 right now but it seems a cert that Adam Warlock will make his MCU debut in the movie. The golden hero was teased in a post-credits scene of the last film and we've been awaiting his arrival ever since. In fact, fans have spent the time suggesting actors who could play Him. A range of stars have been touted for the part, too, including Zac Efron, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Alexander Skarsgard. Now, here's a new one to add to the ever-growing list: Henry Cavill.

This week, we got our first look at the British actor’s latest role in Netflix’s The Witcher. It seems digital artist Boss Logic was inspired by this to imagine Cavill as Adam in the MCU. Based on one of the Witcher promo images, here’s what the Superman star could look like as the character:

Many supporting actors have played dual roles in both the MCU and the DCEU, but if Cavill did make the jump over to Marvel that would be a rare instance of one of the superhero rival’s big leading names switching teams. Most evidence is pointing to Cavill having donned the Man of Steel’s tights for the last time, but whether he’d actually head on over to the House of Ideas remains to be seen.

In any case, we likely won’t find out for a while yet who Marvel’s hoping to get for Adam, as intel points to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 probably going before the cameras either next year or early 2021. After all, director James Gunn is currently busy with his own switch to DC via The Suicide Squad, which shoots this fall. Following that, though, he’ll get to work on the hugely anticipated threequel.
