Hulu’s Adding Tons Of Great Horror Movies In August

Horror fans, rejoice! There are plenty of spooky and scary films (some old, some new) that are heading to Hulu next month.

While many might subscribe to Hulu to enjoy unwinding by digging into some easy-to-digest sitcoms (the freedom to watch King of the Hill on demand is half the reason I subscribe, personally), the platform has also curated a sizable collection of horror films and TV shows.

While they might not be able to rival Netflix – who recently put out a film so disturbing that some viewers ended up getting sick – the lesser of the streaming giants still manages to hold their own. While they have yet to fully breakthrough in the horror space, the platform is already home to a handful of stellar series such as The Handmaid’s Tale and The Act, both of which picked up a pair of Emmy Award nominations earlier today.

Thankfully, it looks like things are starting to shape up in August, with several horror movies hitting the service. Check out the list below to find out how you can get your spook on next month:

Available on August 1st:

  • Alien vs. Predator
  • Final Destination
  • Final Destination 2
  • Final Destination 3
  • The Final Destination
  • Jeepers Creepers 2
  • My Bloody Valentine
  • Repentance
  • Rosemary’s Baby
  • Seven
  • Shivers

If you happen to have the STARZ premium add-on, there are few extra horror movies you’ll be able to stream as well!

Available with the STARZ add-on

  • Army of Darkness (August 1st)
  • The Blair Witch Project (August 1st)
  • Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (August 1st)
  • Escape Room (August 17th)

While some of the new additions aren’t exactly standout titles, there are plenty of classics that made the cut, including Rosemary’s Baby and the first Blair Witch. Be sure to let us know what you plan on watching though in the comments section below, and for those who are interested in more than horror, check out the full list of what’s coming to (and leaving) Hulu over on Collider.
