doctor strange in the multiverse of madness

In shocking news, a $950 million Marvel movie might just get the spinoff fans have been asking for

It'll be chaos if this doesn't happen.

Seeing as the Multiverse Saga kicked off with WandaVision, which remains one of its most acclaimed entries, it would be a shame if it ended before we got another project for Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness left her fate up in the air, of course, but this being the Marvel universe, no one’s really expecting the chaos magic-wielding sorceress to be gone forever. In fact, they’ve been campaigning for a Scarlet Witch movie for over a year now.

Unfortunately, Marvel Studios remains mum on if such a project is in any stage of development, but for those willing to take any positive sign they can get, new hope is swirling that this film we’ve been dream(walk)ing about for ages could finally be in the cards. Insider CanWeGetSomeToast got tongues wagging with a simple post that surely only spelled one thing ⏤ especially as another scooper curiously posted the exact same image.

In case you don’t recognize the above image, this is the cover from 2016’s Scarlet Witch #4, part of the popular “Witches’ Road” arc. Comprising a plot that dove into the mystical side of Marvel lore and saw the heroine explore her powers further, it would be the perfect source material for the next MCU outing for Wanda Maximoff, especially as this exact eventuality has already been teased within the franchise itself, as eagle-eyed viewers have spotted.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law‘s fourth-wall breaking finale memorably saw Jen Walters storm Marvel Studios HQ, and in one shot, an image of this same cover could be seen in the background. It was hoped at the time that this was a genuine peek into what the House of Ideas had planned and, while it’s still very much just at the rumor stage, these teasing tweets at least fan the flames that — to quote Wanda herself — we’ll say hello again.
