Incredible Fan Trailer For Avengers 4 Prepares Us For Marvel’s Endgame

YouTuber Smasher has cut together a really rather brilliant fan trailer for Avengers 4, and it's good enough to be the real deal.

“We’re in the endgame now.”

Of all the many lines spoken during Avengers: Infinity War, the one of Doctor Strange musing about Marvel’s endgame has truly captured the imagination of comic book movie fans the world over, leading to countless theories and morsels of speculation about the Sorcerer Supreme and how his prophecy informs the so-far untitled Avengers 4.

We’re still no closer to understanding the full extent of Strange’s master plan, but this fan-made trailer from ‘Smasher’ delivers the next best thing: a tantalizing preview of what’s to come, beginning with a series of callbacks to MCU past and Tony Stark’s own quotes about the so-called endgame.

Feast thy eyes:

If nothing else, it’s another piece of (unofficial) MCU content to stoke the embers of excitement, because now that Ant-Man and the Wasp has come and gone, our collective attention is beginning to turn towards Captain Marvel, a standalone ’90s adventure which holds the unique honor of being the penultimate chapter in this incredible 10-year saga.

However, much like Avengers 4, the actual plot of Captain Marvel is being kept under lock and key, though we fully expect some sort of link or connective tissue between the two MCU blockbusters – like, say, the Quantum Realm, which proved pretty instrumental during the course of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Could it be that the time vortexes hidden within Marvel’s netherworld will help bridge the gap between one era and the next? Director Peyton Reed certainly thinks so, which only has us all the more excited by Avengers 4 and the sense of closure (and spectacle!) it brings. May 3rd, 2019 is the date for your diaries, with the first teaser trailer and/or title reveal expected in November.
