It was a finale we had all been waiting for.

After 10 years and 18 movies’ worth of build-up and carefully crafted exposition, Avengers: Infinity War arrived in theaters with only one goal: to unite the current Marvel Cinematic Universe for a superhero smackdown the likes of which we’ve never seen before.

All things considered, Joe and Anthony Russo’s mega-movie delivered on those sky-high expectations (and more!), as the final product was able to lay the groundwork for Avengers 4 all the while serving up a satisfying conclusion to one of the most ambitious arcs in film history.

It’s one which led directly to Thanos, Josh Brolin’s Mad Titan who managed to seize control of all six Infinity Stones and wipe out half of the known universe. And so, once those giant, purple fingers snapped, the likes of Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch and Nick Fury all vanished before our very eyes, and it’s this bleak finale that serves as the inspiration behind Denver Balbaboco’s latest art collection.

You know those “I don’t feel so good…” memes ricocheting off the walls of the Internet? This frankly incredible gallery traces that meme back to its inception, as we’re able to take a closer look at some of Infinity War‘s final moments…and that heartwrenching scene on Vormir involving Thanos and his estranged step-daughter, Gamora.

Now on the verge of a $2 billion box office cume, Avengers: Infinity War has cemented its status as a bona fide titan, one that will be remembered for years to come as the MCU adjusts to Phase 4 – not before Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel and Avengers 4, mind you.
