The Inhumans Will Expand The Marvel Cinematic Universe

The Inhumans emerged as serious contenders for Marvel's Phase 3 when they were mentioned by president Kevin Feige way back in May 2013. Since that initial roster for Phase 3 was ppublicized the Inhumans have been sporadically mentioned, until this past August when their arrival onto the big screen was confirmed. The Inhumans emerged as serious contenders for Marvel’s Phase 3 when they were mentioned by president Kevin Feige way back in May 2013. Since that initial roster for Phase 3 was ppublicized the Inhumans have been sporadically mentioned, until this past August when their arrival onto the big screen was confirmed. Well, it was sort of teased by Vin Diesel, and now we know that Groot was indeed correct.

During today’s Marvel event in Hollywood, Feige stood by his word and announced a November 2018 release date for the genetically engineered humans. Slated as the studio’s 20th feature, Inhumans will introduce “tons of new characters,” and go on to “refine and expand what the Marvel Cinematic Universe is all about.”

The original storyline revolves around a race of humans who were subjected to experimentation by the Kree. Their subsequent superpowers imbued the Inhumans with such phenomenal abilities that the Kree abandoned the project, leaving this superior race to their own devices. Bearing that in mind, it’s no wonder they’re set to expand the MCU.

Inhumans will arrive in theatres on November 2, 2018. You can check out the official Marvel press release below for more info:

Marvel’s “Inhumans” will make its way to theaters November 2, 2018!

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige made the announcement at a special event laying out the full slate of films for Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.

“November 3, 2018 will introduce dozens of characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” promised Feige. “We really do believe the Inhumans can be a franchise or a series of franchise unto themselves. They have dozens of powers and an amazing social structure. With our 20th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we wanted to continue to refine what that universe is about.”

Is that enough of a tease for you, Faithful Ones? You’ll have to wait a while longer before we can give you any more info, but in the meantime stay tuned to Marvel.com for the latest on “Inhumans” and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it develops!
