We’re now a little under a month away from the worldwide release of Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reimagining and to celebrate, Fox has unveiled a trio of international posters for the superhero flick that see Marvel’s First Family assemble.

Facing impending Doom – pun very much intended – the latest batch of images star Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell as the titular superpowered group. Arriving on the brink of San Diego Comic-Con, the stills are an effort to drum up excitement for the film’s panel during the course of the event, which both Simon Kinberg and director Josh Trank will host in the famous Hall H.

And though Fantastic Four will be facing considerable competition from beneath Fox’s umbrella – Deadpool and the hotly-anticipated X-Men: Apocalypse, to be specific – there’s reason to be hopeful for the studio’s younger, fresher reboot. With a cast of Hollywood’s most promising young stars and the director behind the rather excellent Chronicle, Fox’s modernized take on Marvel’s first superhero team is looking pretty good. Call us optimistic, but we’re holding out hope that it releases a surprise blockbuster hit, as opposed to a forgettable FX-driven spectacle.

Edgier, grounded and with a bigger emphasis on the science behind the extraordinary subjects, Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four will arrive in theaters on August 7. In the meantime, let us know your impressions of this latest slew of posters using the comments below.

Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
