To get you up to speed, Fury Road will center around Max himself, the loneliest of lone wolves who stalks the sun-scorched Wasteland just trying to get by. However, it isn’t long before our grizzled protagonist comes face-to-face with the devious Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Bryne), the skull-mouthed lunatic you can see spearheading the rampage in the clips above and below. Also, just for good measure, there’s one shot of a goon playing a flaming guitar while all hell breaks loose around him. Let’s just say hitting the perfect note wouldn’t be our only concern when the desert around you is littered with explosions.

Yesterday, petrolheads were treated to a bevy of photos showcasing the vehicles behind the mayhem of Mad Max: Fury Road, and we can’t wait to see some of the hulking, weaponized beasts in action when George Miller’s reboot-slash-sequel blasts into theaters on May 15.

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
