J.K. Rowling offers a reminder she does other things that have nothing do to with ‘Harry Potter,’ but nobody cares

Yeah, we get it, there's more to life than the Wizarding World.

Creating one of the most popular and beloved literary sagas in history is generally going to be remembered as your life’s work, but J.K. Rowling has remained determined to prove that she’s much more than just the brains behind Harry Potter.

Of course, the author has been doing a stellar job of torpedoing her legacy over the last few years by being repeatedly dragged into transphobia controversies, and she’s long since reached the stage where she doesn’t give a single damn about the calls for HBO Max’s impending reboot series to be boycotted, because she’ll be making bank at the end of the day anyway.

Outside of the Wizarding World, Rowling has penned six novels under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith comprising the Cormoran Strike string of books, which has been adapted in to a TV series. However, after taking to Twitter to reveal that the next entry in the hard-boiled crime thriller universe has a new tale on the way, it became clear that nobody really cares.

We probably shouldn’t have to explain that a great deal of the comments and replies have been hurling insults in the direction of the Harry Potter architect, even if it’s something she’s become accustomed to. While the Cormoran Strike stories haven’t exactly been literary duds, it’s not as if they’ve even come close to matching her most iconic creation in terms of either sales or popularity, while even the live-action TV show was solid-if-unspectacular.

That’s presumably why she keeps returning to the well of The Boy Who Lived, even if she seems determined to permanently ruin her standing among the fantasy classic’s most vociferous supporters.
