As promised, yesterday brought with it a ton of information regarding Hugh Jackman’s final turn as Wolverine in what we now know will be called Logan. A simple, yet effective title, the film promises a bloody last outing for the character as it comes packing an R-rating and what will hopefully be a faithful take on the “Old Man Logan” story arc from the comics.
Building on the momentum that came with the title and first poster reveal, not to mention those juicy plot details, director James Mangold continues to deliver the goods today as he’s now given us our first look at Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in the film. As you can see above, he’s certainly not looking his best, though we’d already heard that he’s going be under Logan’s care as he’s not doing too well physically or mentally.
With New York Comic-Con now underway, we’re expecting to see a bit more from Logan as we creep up to the weekend. A trailer, or any footage at all is doubtful at this point, as the film is still quite a ways away, but some more information about the plot or even a few new photos would be very welcome. We’ll have to wait and see what else what Fox decides to release, but for now, you can feast your eyes on the new Professor X photo above and drop a comment below letting us know what you make of it.
Logan hits theatres on March 3rd 2017 and along with Jackman and Stewart, will also star Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant and Eriq La Salle.
