Production on Justice League is beginning to round the final corner, now that Zack Snyder’s ensemble movie is lensing across parts of Iceland to capture the final scenes.

Indeed, judging by the latest wave of set photos to find their way online today, it appears as if Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry features prominently in the last leg of principal photography, and up above you’ll see a trio of images showcasing your newfound King of the Seven rising from the depths.

Following a largely throwaway role in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, over the next two years moviegoers will really get the chance to acquaint themselves with Momoa’s hulking warrior, beginning with Justice League late next year. An Aquaman solo movie is also in the works, and will be directed by horror maestro James Wan. Also starring Willem Dafoe (Vulko), Patrick Wilson (Orm) and Amber Heard (Mera), the 2018 pic will operate on a $160 million budget and provide over 1,200 jobs for locals, according to a report unearthed by ComicBook.com.

Much like Thor: Ragnarok before it, Warner Bros. will set up shop on the Gold Coast of Australia, after Scott Morrison, the Federal Treasurer of Australia, struck a deal with Warner brass to lock in much of Aquaman‘s location shooting.

“Making movies is core business for the Gold Coast, supporting jobs and businesses throughout the region. Our decision to back in Thor was a marvel and so will be our decision to back Aquaman,” Mr Morrison said yesterday.

Justice League has been penciled in for November 17, 2017. James Wan’s Aquaman, meanwhile, is a little further out, after Warner Bros. recently earmarked October 2018 for Arthur Curry’s solo outing.
