The casting storm on Clint Eastwood’s biopic J. Edgar continues. The veteran director has announced that Oscar winning British actress Judi Dench will join the already stellar cast. The director also hinted that negotiations with Charlize Theron are proceeding and that she is expected to join the film soon.

As the title suggests, the film will be about former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover and cover details of his personal and professional life. Including the controversial but much reported homosexual love affair with his close colleague Clyde Tolson.

Charlize Theron is expected to take the role of Hoover’s dedicated personal secretary Helen Gandy. Hoover will be played by none other than Leonardo DiCaprio with Armie Hammer playing Tolson. The script is written by Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black, who previously scribed the biopic, Milk, about gay rights activist Harvey Milk. Filming begins in February.
