One of the most nauseating aspects of the in-development comic book caper is the constant churn of casting speculation, with new names being tossed into the mix on what feels like a daily basis. It’s literally a tweet offering that Adam Driver’s Reed Richards, Margot Robbie’s Sue Storm, Paul Mescal’s Johnny Storm, and Daveed Diggs’ Ben Grimm will act as the central quartet with no hint of it being anywhere close to the real deal, but the knives were already sharpened a long time ago, and they’re not getting any blunter.

San Diego Comic-Con sticks out as the obvious place for Fantastic Four to unveil its core four for the world to see, and based on how exhausting the rumor mill has become, it can’t happen soon enough.
