New Justice League Fan-Made Poster Adds Green Lantern Into The Mix

"No protectors here. No Lanterns. No Kryptonian. This world will fall, like all the others." If Steppenwolf's dreary threat of world domination is anything to go by, Hal Jordan won't feature in Justice League whatsoever, leaving Batman and the rest of the gang - Superman included - to cancel the impending apocalypse on their own. But a new fan-made poster is asserting that Green Lantern will play a part in the Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon tentpole after all.

If Steppenwolf’s dreary threat of world domination is anything to go by, Hal Jordan won’t feature in Justice League whatsoever, leaving Batman and the rest of the gang – Superman included – to cancel the impending apocalypse on their own. But a new fan-made poster is asserting that Green Lantern will play a part in the Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon tentpole after all.

Of course, there’s still been nothing to confirm that we’ll be seeing beloved character show up, but it seems that new evidence is surfacing on a weekly basis all pointing to there being seven heroes on the team, and given that we know Warner Bros. has definite plans to introduce Green Lantern into the DCEU, and that he has a long history with the League in the comics, it’s not too crazy to think that he’ll make his debut in the upcoming film.

We likely won’t find out for sure until November, but in the meantime, a hopeful fan has drawn up a Green Lantern character poster in the style of those ones that found their way online last week, which featured the rest of the gang. It’s obviously not any sort of confirmation that Jordan is set to make his way into the franchise via Justice League and is really just wishful thinking, but it’s sure to get people speculating.

Pretty cool, right? One popular theory doing the rounds is that Steppenwolf will brainwash Green Lantern to use him against the titular team, similar to how Loki called upon the Tesseract to seize control of Clint Barton (AKA Hawkeye) in the first Avengers movie. Chalk that up as speculation for now, but there has been some evidence to support it and if true, then an evil Superman may be the least of the League’s worries.

One way or another, we can expect some answers to emerge once Justice League descends into theaters on November 17th. Elsewhere in the fledgling DCEU, director David Sandberg has officially set the wheels in motion on Shazam!, with production due to commence early next year. Expect some casting announcements very soon, then.
