Justice League Deleted Scene Finally Shows Superman’s Black Suit

When it comes to the recently released Justice League, there seem to be two enduring talking points in regard to the landmark team-up movie that had one of the most storied productions of late: Superman’s fabled black costume and the elusive Zack Snyder cut. And while it remains a mystery if we'll ever lay our eyes on the former, we do know that we'll be treated to some additional scenes featuring the Man of Steel when the flick arrives on home video in the very near future.

When it comes to the recently released Justice League, there seem to be two enduring talking points in regard to the landmark team-up movie that had one of the most storied productions of late: Superman’s fabled black costume and the elusive Zack Snyder cut. And while it remains a mystery if we’ll ever lay our eyes on the former, we do know that we’ll be treated to some additional scenes featuring the Man of Steel when the flick arrives on home video in the very near future.

From what we’ve been told, Justice League‘s Blu-ray does indeed feature the all-new ‘Return of Superman,’ but it’s only about two minutes in length – in fact, a new listing suggests that it’ll stretch for one minute and 51 seconds. When pulled together, Warner’s home video release contains 73 minutes of additional content total, though the Powers That Be have yet to comment on these latest findings, so take them with a grain of salt.

Regardless, what appears to be a snippet from the ‘Return of Superman’ scene has now surfaced online for your viewing pleasure. Seen below, the clip shows Kal-El on the Kryptonian ship before he’s resurrected by his fellow heroes. Though quite brief, it’s worth a watch if for no other reason than we finally – finally! – get a glimpse of the iconic black costume that, as we said above, has caused much discussion and debate since the film’s release.

Unfortunately, it’s not much and perhaps even more disappointing is that we don’t actually get to see Supes try the suit on. Whether that’ll happen further on in this clip, or perhaps another deleted scene on the Blu-ray, we don’t know. But if nothing else, this small moment is a nice tease of what could be about to come our way and even if it is the only look at the black suit that we get, we’re still happy to see it make its way into the film.

For now, we’ll continue counting down to March 13 when Justice League arrives on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD, and hope that we get a bit more than what’s shown here. And remember, if you want to secure your own copy and take home the DCEU’s latest release when it hits store shelves next month, be sure to pre-order it on Amazon.
