Justice League Soundtrack Listing Points To A Green Lantern Cameo

As DC fans will no doubt know, the tagline "Unite the Seven" was once used on various marketing material for Justice League a while back, before Warner Bros. changed it to read "Unite the League." This was, of course, because the film only features six heroes - Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg. However, that hasn't stopped speculation from running rampant in regards to who that mysterious seventh member could be and whether or not they'd still show up in the pic.

Unfortunately, we still don’t have a definite answer on that, but as we inch closer to Justice League‘s release, evidence continues to mount that not only will we get to meet member #7, but that he’ll be none other than Green Lantern, with the character coming in near the end to set up the already announced Green Lantern Corps. Chalk that up as speculation for now, but today, we’ve got yet another intriguing piece of evidence that points to that being the case.

A soundtrack listing for the film was posted on IMDb earlier this week and has since been pulled, but someone managed to get a screenshot of it, which you can see here. It may be small and blurry, but you can still make out the names of the various songs and one in particular stands out: “Unite the Seven” by Imagine Dragons. It’s not too difficult to put two and two together here and if this listing is indeed accurate, then it would seem that Green Lantern, or some as yet unknown seventh member, will be making a surprise appearance to complete the titular team’s roster.

As with all rumors, we’d advise taking this with a grain of salt, but it seems that new evidence is surfacing on a weekly basis all pointing to there being seven heroes on the team, and given that we know Warner Bros. has definite plans to introduce Green Lantern into the DCEU, and that he has a long history with the League in the comics, it’s not too crazy to think that he’ll make his debut in Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon’s upcoming film.

Then again, it could be another hero, like Shazam or Martian Manhunter. Or even someone completely out of left field. At this point, we can’t say for sure. The most likely candidate is, and always has been, Hal Jordan though, and really, that’d make the most sense, too.

Either way, we’ll find out soon enough if there’s any truth to this, as Justice League zooms into theaters on November 17th. Further down the pipeline, Warner Bros. has also reserved space on its slate for AquamanWonder Woman 2 and Shazam, the latter of which is eyeing a production start in early 2018. Word is that an April 2019 release is on the cards, but one way or another, there’s no place for Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam.
