With the Entourage movie finally in production, casting has now begun for the rest of the roles and first up seems to be that of the leading lady. Said to be a possible love interest for Vincent Chase, the producers currently have their eye on model Kate Upton for the part.
Though she’s mostly known for her modelling career, Upton has appeared on the big screen before. She showed up in both Tower Heist and The Three Stooges and also has a part in the upcoming Cameron Diaz film The Other Woman.
Unfortunately, that’s all the news we really have, as details about her character haven’t been revealed. Production hasn’t even begun yet as cameras won’t roll until January, so it may be a few more months before we have anything concrete.
Though I can’t speak much to Upton’s acting abilities, she certainly is a force to be reckoned with in the modelling world and if nothing else, she’ll make for some nice eye candy in the film. Plus, the bulk of this project is going to be resting upon the shoulders of the characters from the original TV series, so Upton won’t have to do much heavy lifting. She’ll likely just have to stand there and look pretty, which she can definitely do.
