Katherine Langford Spotted In New Avengers: Endgame Set Video

Aside from plenty of melancholy moments and action-packed set pieces, Avengers: Endgame is full of surprising cameos, including the final appearance of legendary comic book writer Stan Lee, who passed away late last year at the age of 95. Even though the latest Marvel film saw the unlikely return of minor players such as Jane Foster and Howard Stark, among many others, there’s one interesting character that got cut from the final theatrical release.

As we previously reported, late last year, 13 Reasons Why starlet Katherine Langford joined the cast of Avengers: Endgamethough, at the time, her mysterious role was kept under wraps. Plenty of fan theories started popping up, with some speculating she could be playing Kate Bishop, while others guessed she would be portraying an older Cassie Lang. Though that particular role ended up going to Emma Furhman, it was eventually revealed the Russo brothers had intended for Langford to play an older version of Tony and Pepper’s daughter, Morgan Stark.

Even though Iron Man’s progeny did make an appearance during the film’s first and third acts, she only appeared as a young child, played by Lexi Rabe. The older Morgan would have made her appearance after Tony used the Infinity Stones to destroy Thanos and his army. Similar to how the Mad Titan visited the Soul World to speak to a younger Gamora, Iron Man would have had a brief conversation with a teenage version of his daughter, shortly before returning to Earth. Unfortunately, this scene didn’t respond well with test audiences and was removed from the final cut.

While Katherine Langford may have been robbed of her chance to appear on the big screen, she was still memorialized in a recent Instagram post courtesy of Robert Downey Jr. Earlier today, the Iron Man actor shared a brief clip of the final day on set, and Langford can be spotted alongside the film’s cast and crew.

Even though she didn’t make her appearance in Avengers: Endgame, we’re hoping that we’ll still catch a glimpse of a teenage Morgan Stark in future movies. After all, Happy Hogan is set to return in Spider-Man: Far From Home, so there’s always a chance that the rest of Tony’s friends and family will make cameos down the line.

Until then, though, this set video is a nice glimpse behind the scenes of the production and should any others surface, we’ll be sure to let you know.
