Kevin Feige has been making superhero movies for almost 20 years now, first getting his start as an associate producer on the first X-Men movie in 2000 before becoming Marvel Studios’ President of Production in 2007. Despite being involved in over 40 projects across two decades featuring characters from the comic book company’s back catalogue, Feige’s favorite-ever Marvel movie moment is actually from one of his most recent productions.

Unsurprisingly, the highlight of Feige’s career comes from Joe and Anthony Russo’s Avengers: Endgame, which both tied up the Infinity Saga in spectacular fashion and went on to become the highest-grossing movie in history. It’s likely an opinion shared by many fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the producer’s number one pick being the build-up to Endgame’s climactic battle scene, when the heroes that had been dusted by Thanos make their triumphant return.

Speaking in a recent interview, here’s what the Marvel Studios head honcho had to say about the moment in question:

“We’re entering this moment, which I’ve said before is the happiest and proudest moment of my career with Marvel Studios. Which is when Steve Rogers is standing up against all of Thanos’ army and it looks like all is lost. And he’s still going to do it even with a Titan-broken shield on his hurt arm. He steps forward then all of a sudden he hears something in his ear and over his shoulder. This sequence of them arriving we shot a number of times in a number of different ways, utilizing most of the footage we shot each time and every time, it was overwhelmingly emotional having everyone there on the same day. There were certain days when everyone you saw there in the frame was there on set in Pinewood Atlanta.”

Of course, Sam Wilson’s ‘on your left’ reprise brings everything full circle for Captain America, and seeing the studio’s massive ensemble returning from their certain demise was one of the most fan-pleasing moments in a movie that was absolutely full of references and callbacks to the MCU’s rich history, with Cap finally getting to say his most iconic line as he rallies the troops to take down Thanos and save the universe as the sequel reached its epic conclusion.

But now that the film is on Digital HD, and coming to Blu-ray and DVD on August 13th, tell us, have you been re-watching Avengers: Endgame recently? And if so, have you chosen your favorite moment in the movie yet? As always, feel free to let us know down below.
