Among these enthusiastic responses is a message from filmmaker, podcaster, and longtime Marvel fan Kevin Smith, who tweeted a warning to a certain Mad Titan:

“You’re fucked, Thanos! I just saw @captainmarvel soaring through space and blasting starships like she’s on a 70’s album cover. God is *this* woman!”

Smith is of course referring to the upcoming Avengers 4, in which Captain Marvel is expected to play a key role in the fight against Thanos. But before Carol takes her place among Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, her first solo movie is just over three months away from hitting theaters, and Smith seems as excited as anyone for the film’s arrival, praising the flick’s first trailer earlier this year as “breathtaking” and “brilliant.”

Anyway, it’s clear that Smith isn’t the only one to be dazzled by this latest set of footage, and if the rumors are anything to go by, then this is just the start of an important week for the Marvel fanbase, with Spider-Man: Far From Home and Avengers 4 both reported to have teasers out in the coming days as well.

Granted, the first trailer for the Avengers: Infinity War sequel in particular has been the focus of much debate and disappointment, and just recently, reports have indicated that the teaser might be delayed, but either way, this Captain Marvel preview should give the fans plenty to talk about for the time being. And you’ll be able to see the whole thing when the film hits theaters on March 8th, 2019, followed by Avengers 4 on May 3rd.
