Remember last month when it was rumored that Holland’s webslinger would don the Iron Spider armor at some point in the threequel? Well, according to Latino Review, that simply isn’t the case. Rather than Stark granting Peter Parker with a complete suit, the latest tidbit stipulates that the genius billionaire playboy philanthropist will actually be responsible for Spider-Man’s web shooters.
If this is indeed true, then it would appear that Marvel is aiming to create mechanical web shooters for Holland’s character as opposed to organic. Either way, it’s clear that Tony Stark will play a big part in Spider-Man’s trajectory from your friendly neighborhood webslinger to bona fide Avenger.
All will be revealed when Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters on May 6, 2016.
Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
