Legendary has pumped out four all-new promos for Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ Kong: Skull Island to drive home the point that yes, Kong is king. That is, until a certain apex predator lumbers out of the ocean to reclaim his title in 2019’s Godzilla: King of Monsters.

But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, Skull Island is the next high-profile monster movie to tumble off Legendary’s production line. It’ll be with us very soon indeed – March 10, to be specific – and the studio has spent the past few days drumming up excitement for Kong’s arrival. And so, nipping at the heels of yesterday’s epic banner reveal, four all-new promos for Kong: Skull Island have roared online, teasing a creature feature steeped in the fiery cauldron of the Vietnam War.

Headed up by Tom Hiddleston and Room breakout and soon-to-be Captain Marvel star Brie Larson, when it comes to A-list talent, Skull Island is packed to the rafters. Samuel L. Jackson and the always-reliable John Goodman feature in the supporting cast – the latter is set to assume the role of a mystery Monarch operative – alongside Jing Tian, Toby Kebbell, Corey Hawkins, Shea Whigham and John C. Reilly, who appears to know a thing or two about Skull Island and its extraordinary food chain.

It’s the place where myth and science meet and soon, director Jordan Vogt-Roberts will unleash Kong: Skull Island on the moviegoing masses. March 10 is the date for your diaries, while that aforementioned Godzilla sequel is expected to roar into theaters on March 22, 2019. The mighty Kong Vs. Godzilla is also on the horizon, though given Gojira looks set to return in two years’ time, Legendary’s initial 2020 release window for its titanic crossover is tentative at best.
