As you can see in the gallery below, the mask is very much staying true to the template set by Tony Stark’s various outfits, but with the color scheme adjusted to match the rest of the costume. Speaking of which, you can also see the blue body of the armor in a couple more photos that emerged at the same time, exhibiting a body-hugging form that likely makes use of Iron Man’s nanotech.

As it stands, it’s unclear when and how Pepper acquires this outfit, but it’s a popular theory right now that she’ll be using this suit to swoop in and save Tony from his drift through space before he runs out of oxygen. Granted, the internet has suggested plenty more possibilities, from Captain Marvel to Valkyrie to Rocket, but part of you has to wonder if the writers knew what they were doing when they gave Tony that line about “zero promise of rescue” in his message to Pepper.

Regardless, it’ll be interesting to see if Marvel Studios has any plans for Rescue beyond the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, especially if this really is Iron Man’s last film as so many are predicting. Perhaps we could be seeing a passing of the torch between two robot-suited superheroes, but either way, Pepper will have at least one movie to show off her new persona, and we’ll see how she fares in the fray when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
