Leonardo DiCaprio Tries To Smuggle Money In First Clip From The Wolf Of Wall Street

Finally, the promotional campaign for The Wolf of Wall Street is really starting to heat up. We waited a long time to see footage from this film and in recent months, Paramount has started to drop little bits and pieces. A trailer here, a few photos there, it's been coming in slowly but surely. Now though, with just over a month to go until the film's Christmas release date, things are really starting to kick into gear.

Finally, the promotional campaign for The Wolf of Wall Street is really starting to heat up. We waited a long time to see footage from this film and in recent months, Paramount has started to drop little bits and pieces. A trailer here, a few photos there, it’s been coming in slowly but surely. Now though, with just over a month to go until the film’s Christmas release date, things are starting to kick into gear.

Today sees the release of the first clip from The Wolf of Wall Street, and while it doesn’t show very much, we do get to see a bit of banter between four of the cast members: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Jon Bernthal, and Margot Robbie. The gang is engaging in a discussion about how to get main character Jordan Belfort’s money across seas into Switzerland without raising any red flags. Their answer seems to be to tape it onto the body of a friend and have her walk right through customs. It’s absurd as it sounds and having read the book, the scene plays out almost exactly like I imagined it would, with crackling dialogue and a good dose of humor.

For those unfamiliar with the film, or the memoir that it is based on, you can check out the plot summary below:

“From the American dream to corporate greed, Belfort goes from penny stocks and righteousness to IPOs and a life of corruption in the late ’80s. Excess success and affluence in his early twenties as founder of the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont warranted Belfort the title – “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

This is by far my most anticipated movie for the remainder of the year and I am absolutely loving what I’ve seen of it. Though I am a bit hesitant as to whether or not director Martin Scorsese can really capture the wackiness and wildness of the book, I am definitely curious to see him try.

The Wolf of Wall Street will open on December 25th. Check out the clip below and let us know if you’re stoked for this one.
