Leslie Mann And Others Join Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring

Leslie Mann has been cast alongside Harry Potter‘s Emma Watson in Sofia Coppola‘s next film, The Bling Ring. Also joining the cast is a group of relatively unknown actors which include, Israel Broussard, Katie Chang, Claire Pfister and Georgia Rock.

The film follows a group of young people, led by Watson’s character who “reportedly stole thousands to millions of dollars worth of belongings from celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, Rachel Bilson and Lindsay Lohan.”

Coppola is writing the screenplay for the film, which is inspired by The Vanity Fair article titled “The Suspects Wore Louboutins” which can be read here. This will be Coppola’s first film since her Venice winning 2010 hit Somewhere.

Production on The Bling Ring will start this Spring in Los Angeles for a 2013 release.
