Mark Ruffalo Sort Of Confirmed The Avengers 4 Title On Jimmy Fallon

Mark Ruffalo appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight and sort of confirmed that Avengers 4 title leak from yesterday.

The title of Avengers 4 has been a huge mystery for Marvel fans ever since the film’s original moniker – simply Avengers: Infinity War – Part Two – was removed. We were hoping it might arrive once Infinity War hit cinemas, but even though the movie’s now been out for quite a while, there’s still no sign of the title materializing. Although, we’re definitely getting close.

As you’ve surely heard by now, an untimely leak threatened to spoil the big surprise last night, when MCU Cosmic told us that next May’s sequel will be called Avengers: Annihilation. That’s yet to be confirmed by Marvel, but Mark Ruffalo appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight and told the talk show host that the title is already out there. In fact, he even revealed it himself, though unfortunately, it was bleeped out.

So, the big question now is, was Mark being serious? Is the title already out of the bag and was he referring to Annihilation? Or is this just Marvel’s way of trolling us and building some buzz before the official reveal, which will no doubt come soon?

At this stage, we imagine the studio will either confirm last night’s leak in the very near future or, switch things up and go with another title entirely (assuming Annihilation is even what it’s currently called). MCU Cosmic has a pretty solid track record though, so we’re inclined to believe that as of now, at least, this is indeed what Marvel’s settled on.

Regardless, with the first trailer said to be arriving in November, and leaks threatening to spoil the surprise, surely it’s only a matter of time now before Kevin Feige and co. lift the lid on Avengers 4‘s title. And as soon as we have something official to go on, we’ll be sure to let you know.
