The camaraderie that’s built out of multi-billion-dollar franchises isn’t one a lot of us will ever personally experience. But thanks to the cast of Avengers: Endgame, or any of the Marvel movies in fact, we get a pretty good sense of how strong they can be. And Mark Ruffalo’s the latest to show off one of these super friendships.

The Hulk actor took to Twitter early this morning to wish his longtime co-star Chris Evans a happy birthday. Though we don’t know what, if anything, he gave his onscreen cohort, Ruffalo gave the fans a nice little gift: posting a new, behind the scenes selfie he took with Evans on the Endgame set.

You can check it out for yourself below!

“Happiest of birthdays to the fantastic @ChrisEvans,” Ruffalo wrote. “Love you, Bro. Always there when you need him. Wishing you all the best today!”

It didn’t take long for the Captain America star, who’s celebrating 38 years today, to respond.

“Awwww, buddy. You’re a gem,” Evans replied with a green heart emoji.

Their cute exchange caught the attention of hundreds of Avengers fans, who quickly sent their love for the actors’ love over the waves.

While Evans may be leaving the MCU, he’s obviously touched the hearts of comic book fans all over the world. Even if Steve Rogers proves to be his most recognized role, a quick look back through his filmography shows that he’s played eight comic book characters across 20 movies and 8 franchises, an incredible feat for such a young performer.

And he’ll surely have an even brighter career ahead of him. So be sure to check out Evans as the Cap one last time in Avengers: Endgame, and why don’t you go ahead and wish him a happy birthday too?
