Marvel Fan Gets Avengers: Endgame Premiere Tickets After Trading Domain Names

Last December, Twitter user Guy Inchair announced that he’d bought the domains for “AvengersEndgame.com” and “AvengersEndgameMovie.com,” and that he’d be willing to trade these URLs for tickets to the premiere of Avengers: Endgame. Jump four months later, and it seems that Marvel has finally taken the fan up on his offer.

Those who’ve been following this strange story may recall that the two aforementioned URLs used to redirect people to the web portal for Once Upon a Deadpool. Late last year, Ryan Reynolds even rewarded the fan by sending him a case of goods from his own Aviation Gin company, and it now looks like Guy Inchair has benefited once more from his savvy purchase.

If you go onto those same domains today, you’ll find yourself on the Endgame page of the official Marvel website. Evidently, the domains are in Disney’s possession, and to show that both sides of the deal were honored, Guy Inchair has shared a screenshot of his invitation to the film’s premiere. In a follow-up tweet, the triumphant fan remarked that he’s going to stop “harassing” directors Anthony and Joe Russo after months of bothering them on social media, before adding, “Sorry, fellas. Buy you a beer at the premiere?”

Guy Inchair isn’t the only fan who’s gone to some excessive lengths to attend a screening of the Avengers: Infinity War sequel. In these last couple of days, for instance, tickets for this month’s release have been selling on eBay for as much as $100, and some bids have already gone into the four-figure territory.

Of course, most fans seem perfectly happen to attend a normal screening at a reasonable price, and it’s likely that they’ll be showing up in record-breaking numbers when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
