Marvel Fan Has Seen Avengers: Endgame In Theaters Over 200 Times

In retrospect, you have to wonder why there was ever any doubt that Avengers: Endgame would pass Avatar to become the highest grossing film of all time. After all, the MCU fanbase isn’t just insanely big, but in many cases, they’re also frighteningly dedicated.

Just take Agustin Alanis, who’s reportedly set a record by seeing the Avengers: Infinity War sequel in theaters more than 200 times. Though the superfan still needs to send his proof to Guinness for the record to become official, Alanis has apparently kept all 200 of his ticket stubs, and has even returned to the cinema for viewing number 201.

To put these figures into perspective, 200 Endgame screenings add up to slightly over 600 hours, which equates to roughly 25 days of viewing. Even most hardcore MCU fans would likely say this is a bit much, but hey, it’s his time and money, and if he’s still coming back for more screenings, then we can probably assume he has few regrets.

Thanks to the efforts of fans like Alanis, the global box office total of Avengers: Endgame now sits at a staggering $2.792 billion, making it the biggest MCU movie by a considerable margin. What’s more, it could be a long wait before Marvel even attempts another project on the scale of the Russo Brothers’ latest feature, seeing how the studio has no Avengers movie lined up for Phase 4 of the franchise.

Nonetheless, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige made it quite clear at last weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will return some day, albeit with a very different line-up. In the meantime, the next era of the MCU kicks off with the release of Black Widow on May 1st, 2020.
