Marvel Studios may have released its final proper trailer for Avengers: Endgame last week, but with the movie now just over a month away from release, it was inevitable that there’d be plenty more promotion on the way, starting with this new TV spot.

While there isn’t much to be found here in the way of fresh footage, the 30-second preview at least offers another reminder of what’s at stake in the struggle to come, with its clips of Doctor Strange, Bucky Barnes and various other heroes who suffered a sad fate in last year’s Avengers: Infinity War. In order to avoid further spoilers, you can imagine that future TV spots will take a similar approach of combining footage from previous Marvel movies with clips from the trailers, and it looks like the marketing team is particularly fond of that shot of the gang walking against a sunrise in their new suits

The new TV spot also sees the reuse of that already famous trailer line, “Whatever it takes.” From the sound of things, some major sacrifices will be made to reverse the Snap, which almost certainly means one or more heroic deaths. Some fans are practically mourning Captain America and Iron Man in advance, and as the MCU moves into a new era, there seems to be nothing stopping directors Anthony and Joe Russo from staging a few sad ends for their Phase 1 stars.

That being said, though some deaths are inevitable, we can also expect to see the resurrection of all or most of the dusted characters featured in the new TV spot. Like a certain Mad Titan might say, it’s perfectly balanced, as all things should be. Still, it’s likely that Avengers: Endgame will be the cause for many tears when it arrives in theaters on April 26th.
