Michael vs. Jason: Evil Emerges was first shared last Friday, and has already racked up more than 2 million views. The 30-minute Friday/Halloween crossover flick begins with Jason awakening from his slumber, while Michael Myers breaks out of custody. From here, the video wastes little time in bringing the pair together for a bloody crossover clash.

From the gore effects to the editing, Evil Emerges is an impressively crafted low-budget work that’s made with clear affection for both horror properties. And with the “to be continued…..” tease at the end, perhaps we can expect Radical Talent to offer a follow-up somewhere down the line.

As it stands, it’s unclear when we might see either of these killers back on the big screen. Friday the 13th in particular remains caught in a legal dispute between writer Victor Miller and director Sean Cunningham. That being said, the property continues to draw interest from various groups, including LeBron James and his SpringHill Entertainment company, as well as the team at Blumhouse Productions.

Speaking of which, after the success of last year’s Halloween, it’s likely that Michael will be returning to theaters a fair bit sooner than Jason. So far, little is known about the follow-up to David Gordon Green’s slasher hit, but with a new writer reportedly on board, here’s hoping we won’t have to wait too much longer for further details to emerge.
