Neil Marshall To Direct Pride And Prejudice And Zombies?

It very well may be! It seems Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is very in demand right now. With Scarlett Johansson rumored to be taking Natalie Portman's place, and with Bradley Cooper possibly being cast as well, directors all over are lining up to helm the project.

Now Deadline is reporting that directors Neil Marshall and Mike Newell are on the short list.

Marshall’s most recent projects have gotten little play, and even less love from the critics. Centurion and Doomsday pale in comparison to his earlier films The Descent, and Dog Soldiers.

Mike Newell is known for directing some great stuff like Donnie Brasco and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. But he’s also done some real duds like Prince of Persia and Mona Lisa Smile.

Deadline also mentions the possibility of director David Slade, known for Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night. And says that Mia Wasikowska is being eyed for the project if Johansson doesn’t work out.
