If you’re unfamiliar with the movie, it revolves around 13-year-old rookie Spider-Man Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) as he’s mentored in the finer arts of Spider-manning by the slightly disheveled looking Peter Parker. For those who’ve laid eyes on some of the trailers that’ve been released so far, you’ll know that Into the Spider-Verse is witty, fast-paced and the animated style is simply gorgeous, and that’s all on display once again in the latest promo for the film, which can be seen up above and teases the new song that Post Malone wrote for it, titled “Sunflower.”

As you can see for yourself, this is another dazzling look at what’s shaping up to be one of 2018’s most anticipated films. At least, for fans of the webhead. And while talking about their excitement at bringing audiences a new version of Spider-Man, here’s what producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller had to say:

We can’t wait for the world to see Miles Morales on the big screen. He’s such a fun and exciting new character, and telling his story through a revolutionary visual style makes for a totally fresh cinematic experience that, if we may say so, is freaking amazing.

Of course, there’s lots to look forward to aside from just the big screen debut of Mr. Morales, as in what may be an inspired bit of casting, Nicolas Cage will be voicing Spider-Man Noir, a gun-toting Peter Parker from a noir-styled timeline. Better yet is the fact that we’ll also be meeting Peter Porker, aka Spider-Ham, a pig web-slinger voiced by John Mulaney. Add to that the inclusion of Peni Parker, aka SP//dr – a teenager from a technologically advanced parallel universe voiced by Kimiko Glenn – and you have to imagine that the skies of New York are going to be pretty crowded later this year.

We’ll see how Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse handles this exciting array of web-slingers when the film shoots into theaters on December 14th, but for what it’s worth, Moore has already assured us that the movie’s going to take Spider-Man to a whole new level.
