Featuring the dulcet tones of famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, today’s snippet showcases just how quickly things go south for Scrat and his band of primordial companions. In activating an ancient alien mechanism, Scrat’s clumsy hero causes interplanetary chaos, inadvertently sending a massive meteor on a one-way path to planet Earth.

Directed by Mike Thurmeier and Galen T. Chu, Ice Age: Collision features a who’s who of voice acting talent. Denis Leary, Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo and Jennifer Lopez reprise their key roles form Continental Drift, while Fox’s animated sequel also welcomes a hoard of newcomers to the adventure: Stephanie Beatriz, Adam DeVine, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Max Greenfield, Jessie J, Nick Offerman, Melissa Rauch and Michael Strahan.

Ice Age: Collision Course has been sent careering toward theaters, with Thurmeier and T. Chu’s sequel on course for a release on July 22.

Scrat’s epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World.
