A few stills from three different movies have been released today thanks to Empire. They don’t show much, but they’re vibrant and easy on the eye. If anything, they serve as a reminder that these three films (Gangster Squad, The Bourne Legacy and The Great Gatsby) are highly anticipated and with good reason.

First up we have a couple of stills from Gangster Squad, which is set to release on September 7th, 2012 and stars Josh Brolin, Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. The trailer didn’t impress me much but the chemistry between the actors just might be enough to make me watch it. Plus, the production design looks pretty good as well. Though I’m still on the fence about this one, these photos do have me leaning towards the positive side.

Next, we have two pictures from The Bourne Legacy. They’re not exactly stills from the film as they are just shots of Jeremy Renner but it’s clear that he means business. Renner looks quite comfortable as a leading action hero and I expect him to do a fine job carrying the franchise. Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton and Joan Allen also co-star in the film which is set for release on August 10, 2012.

Last but certainly not least, we have two stills from The Great Gatsby. I was very much impressed by the trailer for this one and it is probably the film I’m looking forward to the most out of the three. It looks fresh, inventive and has a strange but appealing feel to it. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire, the movie is scheduled to release on Christmas Day 2012.

What do you think? Which movie are you looking forward to the most?
