With the first trailer for Avengers 4 theorized to arrive next month, a possible description of it has landed online. As it was originally shared on Reddit (via CBR), you might want to hold off on taking this at face-value at the moment, but it’s worth mentioning that the post has since been deleted, which could suggest that Marvel Studios asked the site to take down the leak. And, if it is real, the following information might spoil the trailer for you, so proceed with caution.
Reportedly, the preview begins with Captain America and Iron Man finally reuniting in Wakanda, following the traumatic events of Avengers: Infinity War. Hulk’s back and training for a rematch with Thanos, while Wong returns as well and is shown contacting Doctor Strange’s soul. Meanwhile, M’Baku appears to be the new king of Wakanda, with Shuri, Rocket and Nebula joining forces to work on new tech.
Fans will be pleased to know that Hawkeye finally shows his face, too, and has become Ronin in Japan, while Ant-Man and Iron Man are seen traveling through the Quantum Realm and Valkyrie reunites with Thor. Speaking of which, Thor and Loki appear in what could be a sequence revisiting The Avengers as they’re shown battling Chitauri. Finally, Cap gets a new shield from Tony and of course, Captain Marvel arrives to save the day, with her fists aglow.
The last shot of the trailer is allegedly a moment featuring Thanos, with his new sword in hand, as he recognizes that one of the Infinity Stones has gone missing from his Gauntlet. He dons his armor with a smile on his face, anticipating going another round with the Avengers.
If this is a fake, it’s certainly well thought out, as it pulls together all the details we’ve already come to expect from Avengers 4: including time travel, the returning characters and more. Honestly, because of this and its suspicious deletion, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s legit, but for now, we’ll just have to keep waiting for the actual trailer to arrive which, if recent reports are to be believed, should be any week now.
