Another day, another Zack Snyder Vero post to pore over.
This particular shot (h/t Heroic Hollywood) is a throwback to the early days of Justice League, when Victor Stone himself, Ray Fisher, was still pumping iron before taking on the role of Cyborg opposite DC’s finest. And it’s fair to say that Fisher was wholly committed to the cause.
Not only is he seriously shredded in today’s never-before-seen pic, but the general consensus appears to be that the actor delivered an overly memorable performance as the mechanized warrior, which makes it all the more disappointing that the Justice League script gave short shrift to Cyborg’s tragic arc.
Rumor has it that Ray Fisher wasn’t too pleased with Justice League‘s theatrical cut, as the lukewarm reaction to Cyborg has undoubtedly cooled talk of a potential spinoff featuring Victor Stone. However that may be, we can at least enjoy this candid, behind the scenes shot of the actor doing his thing. Look at those traps!
MORE FROM THE WEB
Ever since Justice League arrived (and subsequently flopped) back in November, Zack Snyder has rolled out a steady stream of set photos and other media pertaining to DC’s ensemble, so we strongly advise you to give his Vero account a follow, if you haven’t done so already.
Justice League is currently available on all the usual platforms, and while it’s yet to be openly confirmed, we have a sneaking suspicion that Cyborg’s next DCEU appearance will be revealed – or at the very least, teased – during Warner’s San Diego Comic-Con presentation next week. All eyes will be trained on Hall H, then, and we’ll have all the major announcements for you right here on We Got This Covered.
