It: Chapter Two

It Returning To Theaters With 8 Minutes Of Footage From Chapter Two

If you missed out on It's original theatrical run, you're in luck! Chapter One is heading back to theaters for a limited time this August!

Horror fans and literary junkies won’t have to wait much longer to watch It: Chapter Two, as the film arrives in theaters this September. The follow-up to the 2017 adaptation of the Stephen King novel will pick up 27 years after the events of It and will see the Losers’ Club, in an effort to fulfill their promise to protect the world from Pennywise, return to the town of Derry in order to fend off evil once more.

While the child actors and actresses from the first movie will be reprising their roles, a handful of A-list celebs have also joined the cast, seeing as how the film takes place decades later. However, despite its massive box office success, a lot of people missed out on watching the first It – which has been retroactively referred to as It: Chapter One – on the big screen, where it grossed over $700 million (a level of success that’s nearly unheard of when it comes to horror films).

If you’ve only jumped on board the hype train in the last year or so, and have yet to experience the first movie in all of its glory, then you’ll want to pay close attention. As reported by Bloody Disgusting, Chapter One will be returning to theaters for a limited time in August, giving moviegoers another chance to watch Pennywise terrify the young children of Derry on the big screen.

Better yet, this re-release will cap off with nearly 10 minutes of footage from the sequel, which is set to premiere on September 6th. For those who want to catch the first It, you’ll be able to buy tickets for showings on August 3rd and 6th and for those just looking for an extra juicy sneak peek at the sequel, this opportunity sounds like a no-brainer, so don’t sleep on it.
