Rob Zombie Says Things Will Get Crazy In 3 From Hell

Ask any self-respecting horror fan what their most anticipated upcoming film in the genre is and you'll probably hear answers like Blumhouse's Halloween sequel, Corin Hardy's The Nun, or perhaps Fox's reimagining of The Predator. And while those are all solid choices, our pick is probably Rob Zombie's 3 From Hell, the follow-up to his 2005 cult classic, The Devil's Rejects.

The director’s movies certainly aren’t for everyone, what with their gritty, grimy and often sadistic nature, but those who can stomach them often like what they see and his next effort is shaping up to be something truly special. Though it’s currently unknown how exactly the titular trio – that’d be Baby, Otis and Captain Spaulding – survived the brutal police shootout at the end of Rejects, we know that they’re set to return for the threequel and if Zombie’s to be believed, it’s going to be another wild ride.

Taking to Instagram as he so often does, the director shared a brief status update on the project, telling us that in 3 From Hell, “shit gets crazy.” Unfortunately, he didn’t elaborate any further, but those who’ve seen his work will know that Zombie has no problem dialing things up to 11 and pushing viewers to their limit.

Plot-wise, details on how exactly the gang are amongst the living again remain under lock and key, but at the rate the director’s been sharing updates on his Instagram page, we should find out soon enough. Until then, though, fans can rest easy knowing that they’re in for one heck of a good time here, as star Bill Moseley recently promised us that the pic will blow our minds.

Also starring Austin Stoker (Assault on Precinct 13), Dee Wallace (The Howling, Cujo), Dot-Marie Jones (American Horror Story) and Tom Papa, there’s still no word of a concrete release date for the movie, but fans of Rob Zombie’s eccentric oeuvre can go on enjoying updates from the Firefly Family, safe in the knowledge that 3 From Hell is coming together quite nicely.
