Earlier this week, he treated us to some photos of returning cast members Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon and Sid Haig. Now, the filmmaker’s introducing us to a new character played by Pancho Moler, who was previously seen as a swastika-wearing killer clown in Zombie’s last feature, 31.

Apparently, in this film he’ll play someone named Sebastian and the director had the following to say in the caption which accompanied the below photo: “How does he figure into the madness? Only time will tell. As they say Free The Three!” Who’s saying this and why is a bit unclear, as the details surrounding the film’s plot are still a little vague, but previous photos indicate that some of the surviving members of the psychotic Firefly clan are now in prison after the many murders committed in the previous installments.

Anyone who remembers the bloody, Bonnie and Clyde-esque ending to The Devil’s Rejects, however, may be wondering how this turn of events could be possible. After all, the titular trio seemingly died during a police shootout. Their resurrection is yet another one of the film’s many mysteries, but coming from the director of The Lords of Salem, supernatural intervention certainly can’t be ruled out. In which case, there’s a good chance that the ‘hell’ of the film’s title is to be taken quite literally.

You never know with Rob Zombie though, whose dark and divisive cinema can often feel like an acid trip gone very bad. 3 From Hell – which also stars Danny Trejo, Daniel Roebuck, Austin Stoker, and Dee Wallace – looks set to fit this description, with Moseley assuring us via Facebook that “when this movie comes out, your guys’s mindsies are gonna be big time blown!” Expect that to happen some time early-to-mid 2019, at which point we can also see whether the film lives up to Moseley’s other claim that it’s a “Rob Zombie masterpiece.”
