Robert Downey Jr. Reminds Fans That Avengers: Endgame Is Coming

2019 is going to be a great year for moviegoers, no matter which genre they find themselves drawn to. There’s lots to look forward to and when it comes to films based on comic books in particular, folks will be truly spoiled. But if there’s one title above all others that probably has the most buzz surrounding it right now, it’s Avengers: Endgame.

It’s probably not too much of a stretch to say that it’ll be the biggest hit of the year at least as far as box office numbers go, and will likely please both critics and fans alike, too. But just to help out the 3 (maybe 4) remaining people on planet Earth who still aren’t aware that the film’s coming, star Robert Downey Jr. hopped on Instagram this week to offer everyone a “gentle reminder.”

The actor took to social media to share the recently released Endgame poster along with the following caption, ensuring that his fans know what’s headed their way.

Gentle reminder… We’ve got this special ‘LITTLE’ film coming out next April… @avengers #ENDGAME #TeamStark

Of course, while Downey Jr. may be alive and well, happily spreading the news of his upcoming release, we can’t exactly say the same for his on-screen character, Tony Stark. Last seen in the Endgame trailer drifting in space, lost amongst the stars and running low on food and water, fans are understandably worried about what might become of Iron Man. And even though many real-life companies (see: NASA and even Domino’s) have offered their help, it’s still unclear how he’ll make his way back home.

Theories range from Pepper Potts suiting up to rescue him to Captain Marvel getting the job done, and while we can’t say for certain what the Russo brothers might have planned, you can bet that the speculation will continue to run rampant across the four corners of the web right up until Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
