UK-based cinema chain Odeon has jumped the gun and published an unofficial synopsis for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, raising some intriguing details regarding Zack Snyder’s much-anticipated 2016 blockbuster.

At this point in time, there’s no mention whether the logline was released by Warner Bros. or, on the other hand, the synopsis was something that Odeon created independently – judging by the vague nature of the text, we’re inclined to say the latter.

Teeing up that all-important encounter between Supes and The Dark Knight – Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, respectively – today’s yet-to-be-confirmed teaser is nothing we haven’t heard of before. Living up to the title of the movie itself, Cavill and Affleck’s juggernauts will indeed lock horns at some point in Dawn of Justice, with Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor pulling the strings in classic puppet master fashion.

Without further ado, here’s the extract for you to pick apart yourself.

At long last, see Batman and Superman square off against each other in ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’, an epic superhero showdown which will change both their lives forever. Clark Kent doesn’t trust Gotham’s mysterious masked vigilante. Bruce Wayne doesn’t trust the alien who nearly destroyed Metropolis. And Lex Luthor, who hates Superman more than anyone, is manipulating both of them for his own twisted ends.

Choose your side: the Man of Steel or the Dark Knight? Learn the answer to the age-old question – who would win? – in ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’.

It’s safe to say that it’s best to take the unofficial synopsis with a grain of salt, but it only stokes the embers of excitement as we brace ourselves for the arrival of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25, 2016. Then – and only then – will our lingering questions be answered.
