Rumored Batvillain Cameos In Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Revealed

The Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice rumor mill continues to crank out potential comic book mainstays who could be making the leap from page to screen. The production of Zack Snyder's multi-hero caper has been plauged by intrepid fans and reporters keen to bag a scoop, and today we've another tidbit courtesy of Badass Digest.

Lining up nicely with an earlier report from the set, it looks like KGBeast could be appearing in some capacity. The previous sighting from the production came early last month when a fan spotted a trailer bearing the name “Knyazev” on its door. However, the scoop goes on to say that it’s unlikely that the KGBeast in the movie is the comic rendition described above:

“You won’t see this version of KGBeast in the movie, but the character name is there – in the script at least – for those who care to pick up on these little easter eggs.”

Looks like there’s either smoke and mirrors misdirection at play, or the character will simply be referenced in passing. That’s not the only evil fan favourite that the site unearthed, though:

One other easter egg: in the world of Batman v Superman the Joker already exists, and Superman knows about him. We don’t see him in this movie, though.

Recently it’s been made public knowledge that Jared Leto is reportedly in talks for the role of The Joker in Suicide Squad. For the David Ayer-directed pic, he’ll be starring alongside Jai Courtney, Margot Robbie and Tom Hardy, who are all close to signing on. If The Joker is indeed mentioned in BvS, then this would sync up to his proper introduction in Suicide Squad.

Going back to the KGBeast news for a moment, that character also appears frequently in the Squad’s line-up, suggesting that both new names mentioned today could be teases for their future grand entrances. At this stage, it’s all speculation, but that won’t stop us from trying to figure it out.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theatres on March 25th, 2016, followed by Suicide Squad on August 5th, 2016.
