With less than three weeks to go until release, Disney is beginning to crank up the old marketing machine in a bid to drum up excitement for Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning’s actioner. Part sequel, part franchise revival, Dead Men Tell No Tales tees up a fiery encounter between Jack Sparrow and Salazar, a glowering pirate and former ally (?) to Jack who was left to rot at the murky depths of the Devil’s Triangle.

Fast forward to the present day and Javier Bardem’s scenery-chewing villain has clawed his way out of that oceanic prison baying for blood, and up above, you’ll get another peek at Salazar’s all-consuming quest for revenge. There’s also a new motion poster to feast your eyes on below, which signals that tickets are now available to purchase ahead of May 26th.

Look for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales to pull into port on May 26th. All signs currently point to Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning’s soft reboot signalling the final chapter in Captain Jack’s swashbuckling saga, and though that would certainly call the future of the franchise into question, early box office estimates claim Disney’s sequel is on course to score a relatively healthy $100 million opening weekend.
